How to make a light collimator with lenses

A long time ago I designed and built a simple light collimator to use in experiments. Recently I have decided to get all the info on how to build your own.  Im showing my two versions. One is really simple and you can get it together in about 5 mins, and the other is more of a professional design.

Recently, a company similar to NASA, which´s called SpaceX, has started constructing some rockets, which are out of the normal features for rockets. Normally rochets don’t land they only do it when there are persons inside, and it´s not the whole rocket, but what would happen if we change that fact.
